Labour is the backbone of the industry and requires specialized managers for optimum outputs. These are achieved by a sound knowledge of labour law, its origin and purpose which will be covered in this course.

This course will enhance the learners understanding of the multiple facets entailed towards managing positive employee relations and addressing industrial disputes and grievances.
They will get familiarized with the concepts, institutions and approaches to industrial relations and labour laws and will acquire knowledge on various areas in industrial relations like Industrial Dispute Act and Contract Labour Act to name a few.  
This course will further help the learners to acquire insights on wage-related laws, employee benefits and security-related laws. They will gain an understanding of the role of the trade unions and the role of the state, constitutional provisions, fundamental rights and directive principles of state policy and their impact on conditions of employment.
