Government ITI and Private ITI in Koriya,  provideng technical education for student according to Latest NSQF Level under NCVT. ITI College in Koriya is employment based Vocational Training Program under Skill Development Mission Government of India.

Polytechnic Education came under National Framework of Technical Education soon after independence to bridge the gap between Engineers and Workmen. Towards industrialization, plans were made to build PSUs, increase the network of railways and capacity building in Ordnance Factories and other industries. There was a felt need to develop a pool of technicians who could supervise the work in the workshop and in the site. New polytechnics were set-up in different plan periods. The polytechnics initially offered courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. With rapid industrialization processes there was a felt need for introduction of courses like Mining Engineering, Radio Communication Engineering, Architecture and the like.

Objectve of ITI in Koriya,

  • To develop Training Capacity of Trades which are being operated in Government Industrial Institute.

Government ITI College in Koriya

Govt ITI College in Koriya under NCVT is according to Latest NSQF Level.

Keeping in view the needs and demands of present and future manpower, providing employment by providing skill training to the youth of the state and encouraging trained youth to establish self-employment through various means is one of the major responsibilities of the state. In order to promote skill up gradation in the state of Chhattisgarh, according to the norms set by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), New Delhi under Directorate of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Directorate General of Training, Government of India Training institutes are being operated. In the implementation of the scheme operated in the institutions, the day-to-day administration is responsible and the department makes necessary arrangements. At the same time, it also supervises and supervises the training conducted in private industrial training centers affiliated to the National Vocational Training Council, so that they can be provided with skilled workers according to the needs of the industries and establishments at present. At present the following schemes are mainly being implemented by the department: -

  • Craftsmen Training Scheme
  • Apprenticeship Training Scheme

Objective:

The main objectives of Directorate of Skill Development Department, Craftsmen Training Scheme under training and Apprenticeship Training Scheme are as follows:

  • Regularly supplying skilled craftsmen in various trades for domestic industries.
  • To increase the quality and production of industrial products through systematic training programs. And to provide training to the youth as per their demand based on synergy with industries and market.
  • To reduce unemployment prevalent among educated youth by providing employment oriented training.
  • To develop and nurture technological and industrial trends among the younger generation.
