Dairying has a wide scope of Employability ranging from self-employment, contractual employment to Industrial jobs. On successful completion of this course, the candidates shall be gainfully employed in the industries for following occupations:

  • Dairy Worker, General
  • Separator Man
  • Dairy Workers (non-farm), Other
Trades Summery: 
  • (i) Recognize different breeds of Cows & buffaloes.
  • (ii) Handle the new born calf, its sanitation etc.
  • (iii) Plan the floor arrangement after different animal houses.
  • (iv) Groom & wash the animals along with cleaning & sanitation of sheds.
  • (v) Observe & identify symptoms of certain specific disease in animals.
  • (vi) Prepare feed and fodder for Dairy.
  • (vii) Use different types of cutting drilling, tapping, grinding & other required tools, coupler and valves used in Dairy.
  • (viii) Maintain electrical wiring and other electrical machinery used in Dairy.
  • (ix) Use and maintain boilers and associated system machinery used in Dairy.
  • Semester тАУ II
  • (x) Use and maintain the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning system used in Dairy.
  • (xi) Use and maintain instrumentation system used in Dairy.
  • (xii) Carryout various test by collecting milk sample.
  • (xiii) Determine the specific gravity of milk samples and carry out test using various testing techniques.
  • (xiv) Count different types of microorganisms and milk samples.
  • (xv) Carry out COB and MBR tests.
  • (xvi) Carryout Pasteurization of milk.
  • (xvii) Prepare sterilized, toned and doubled toned milk followed by packing. Prepare butter, ghee and other dairy products.
  • (xviii) Maintain of records, balance sheet and other related documents used in dairy industry.
  • (xix) Revision, Project work and Examination
