The course content begins from Biodiversity classification; Structure and function of the living; their reproduction and development and also Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Immunology which are the modern fields of Biology. An exhaustive treatment of the environment in all its aspects is also contained in the curriculum and so are topics like some common human diseases and health and nutrition which are closely related to human welfare.

Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary academic field that integrates physical, biological and information sciences including but not limited Ecology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Mineralogy, Oceanology, Limnology, Soil Science, Geology etc. to the study of the environment and solution of environmental problems. Welcome to the revised Physics course of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). The Physics course is now divided into eight modules comprising thirty lessons on different themes.
