• Driver cum Mechanic,drivesmotor car according to owner's requirement as paid employee. Observes road signals and traffic rules.
• Driver cum Mechanic repairs to motor vehicles under guidance of Mechanic Motor vehicle (MMV). Receives instructions from Mechanic, Automobile about tasks to attend. Jacks up vehicle to  equired height for repair in convenient position where necessary.
• Lubricates joints, tightens loose parts and makes necessary adjustments
• Sets wheel alignment, adjust, steering, clutch, hand brakes, brake pedal etc fits new or repaired accessories and body parts, and performs other tasks to effect repairs
• Carryout routine Maintenance of Battery and Ignition System
• Carryout Tire Maintenance
• Identify Computer Parts and operate the computer

A trainee after attending the course on ‘Driver cum Mechanic’ shall be able to drive motor car according to owner's requirement, observe road signals and traffic rules, repair motor vehicles under guidance of a Mechanic (Motor vehicle), jack up vehicle to the required height for repair in convenient position where necessary, lubricate joints, tighten loose parts and make necessary adjustments, set wheel alignment, adjust steering, clutch, hand brakes, brake pedal etc., fit new or repaired accessories and body parts, and carry out routine maintenance of battery and ignition systems, and tire.
