The training scheme is governed under norms and standards prescribed by the Government of India, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in Directorate General of Training, New Delhi/ National Council for Vocational Training and administered under Skill Development and Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha through Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Cuttack.

In an important movement, Government have decided to implement e-Admission module (Online Application & Centralize Selection) through Student Academic Management System (SAMS) of Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) for admission into Government ITIs of the State during 2017-18 on following merits:
