National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) is a not-for-profit public limited company incorporated on July 31, 2008 under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 (corresponding to section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013). NSDC was set up by Ministry of Finance as Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. The Government of India through Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) holds 49% of the share capital of NSDC, while the private sector has the balance 51% of the share capital.

NSDC aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions. Further, the organisation provides funding to build scalable and profitable vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support system which focuses on quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organizations that provide skill training. It also develops appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives. The differentiated focus on 37 sectors under NSDC’s purview and its understanding of their viability will make every sector attractive to private investment.

This program is aimed at training candidates for the job of “Field Technician-Air conditioner”, in the “Air Conditioning” industry. It aims at building the following key competencies in learners by the end of the course:

· Describe the RAC industry and its importance

· Define the roles and competencies of an RAC service assistant

· Identify the RAC components and their role in the refrigeration cycle

FIELD TECHNICIAN - COMPUTING AND PERIPHERALS

The individual at work is responsible for attending to customer complaints, installing newly purchased products, troubleshooting system problems and, configuring peripherals such as printers, scanners and network devices.

The job requires the individual to have: ability to build interpersonal relationships and critical thinking. The individual must be willing to travel to client premises in order to attend to calls at different locations.

This e-Learning course is designed to provide the learner with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes required to become a Pradhan Mantri Arogya Mitra.

An Arogya Mitra is a frontline health service professional who serves as a first contact for beneficiaries of the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, at the empaneled health care provider and provides patient support in the form of enrollments, insurance scheme information, claim assistance, etc.

After completing this programme, participants will be able to:
