Any Library and Information Science professional should be competent to select, acquire, organise and retrieve information. Traditional methods like classification and cataloguing help to organise documents. Subject indexing helps to organise micro documents and information per se. With increasing digital information there have been changes in organising, representing, exchanging and retrieving information across platforms. All these concepts are part of this course.
