This course on ‘Electricity and Safety Measures’ will introduce you to electricity, from generation to transmission to cities/ towns, to distribution up to the end user. You will learn the elementary electrical, overview of electrical power system, Quality of electrical supply, general tools and tackle, Major substation equipment, Operation & maintenance practices for substation and transformer in the first part of this course. While the use of electricity is a boon to us, its misuse could lead to major accidents.

This course has its importance because after construction of buildings they need proper repair and maintenance to serve their purpose efficiently and effectively throughout their service life. In this course you will come to know about the defects in buildings and building materials and their deterioration over the period of time. The defects in buildings may be due to use of defective building material and workmanship. Deterioration in buildings and materials may be due to environmental and other external agents, improper use and lack of proper care of building over the time.

This course “Inventory and Stores Management” covers the concept of Inventory Management and how to estimate Economic Order Quantity.  Construction Industry maintains Inventory so that work at site should not suffer. The course covers Inventory Control Techniques. The course also tells about Stores Management.  Details of Inventory  Control and Stores Management have also been highlighted to give the learners a holistic learning experience.
