Few glimpses from day one at the Mega Kaushal Mahotsav being held in Varanasi .The highlights of the Mahotsav include a Kaushal Pradarshani & Rozgar Mela, where 70+ corporates from across the nation will offer job opportunities in over 20 sectors.

A delegation from UNESCO visited ITI Pusa,in Delhi to discover more about the Indian Vocational Training System & DGT's role in the skill ecosystem. They also took an informative tour of the various training labs at the institute for a profound insight.
 

कुछ समय पहले तक, महिलाओं को प्लंबिंग, वेल्डिंग और इस तरह के अन्य फील्ड कार्यों जैसे पुरुष-केंद्रित नौकरियाँ लेने की कल्पना करना लगभग असंभव था। लेकिन अब, समय बदल रहा है।आज की महिलाएँ सपने देखने और उनको पूरा करने की हिम्मत रखती हैं। कई क्षेत्रों में से, ये महिलाओं के शीर्ष पाँच अपरंपरागत नौकरी विकल्प हैं!
 

किरण कुमारी की प्रारंभिक शादी ने अपने इलाके में सैकड़ों महिलाओं के लिए रोल मॉडल बनने से नहीं रोका । एक समाज से आ रहा है जहां पाइपलाइन को आदमी की नौकरी माना जाता है, उसने अपने आप को प्लम्बर जनरल कोर्स में नामांकित करके कई रूढ़िवादी तोड़ दिए । आज, किरण कुमारी असम में पूरी बराक घाटी में पहली बार महिला प्लम्बर प्रशिक्षु है । वह अपने काम के साथ अपने समाज के कल्याण में योगदान कर रही है और अन्य महिलाओं को उनके जुनून का पालन करने के लिए प्रेरित कर रही है ।

दिनांक 12-13 फ़रवरी, 2020 को कौशल विकास एवं उद्यमशीलता मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा वाराणसी में आयोजित कौशल महोत्सव के रोज़गार मेले में जिसमें 1600 से अधिक युवाओं को रोज़गार के अवसर दिए गए, उन्हीं में से आज कुछ युवाओं को प्रधानमंत्री जी ने ऑफर लेटर दे कर अपनी शुभकामनाएं दीं।

वाराणसी रोज़गार महोत्सव में 6750 उम्मीदवार पंजीकृत हुए और 1600 उम्मीदवारो को प्रतिष्ठित कॉर्पोरेट्स ने शार्ट लिस्ट किया। इस महोत्सव के आयोजन का उद्देश्य व्यावसायिक शिक्षा और प्रशिक्षण के माध्यम से युवाओं के लिए रोज़गार के अवसरों को बढ़ावा देना, और कौशल की नई तकनीकियों का अपनाना ताकि मर्केट में उनकी मांग बनी रहे|

दिल्ली में राज्यों के प्रतिनिधियों के साथ आयोजित एक परामर्श कार्यशाला में भाग लिया, जिसमें सभी सेक्टर में और डिस्ट्रिक्ट लेवल पर किये जा रहे कौशल विकास की समीक्षा की और सभी राज्यों के बहुमूल्य सुझावों पर गहन चर्चा की गई।

मर्केट डिमांड के अनुसार युवाओं को कौशल प्रदान करने के लिए डिस्ट्रिक्ट स्किल कमिटी (DSCs) का साथ मिलकर काम करना ज़रूरी है। कौशल विकास की गतिविधियों में राज्यों की भूमिका आने वाले दिनों में और भी बढ़ाई जाएगी। इस अभियान को सफल बनाने हेतु राज्यों की साझेदारी अनिवार्य है।
