The objective of the entire course is to provide the learner an opportunity to get exposed to diverse disciplinary perspectives and concepts related to them. This will equip the learner to develop a holistic perspective on the subjects. Also it will guide the learner to choose the area(s) of specific interest for further learning.
The environment part of the course consists of 10 lectures (modules) that cover different disciplinary perspectives, such as anthropological, sociological, economic, civilizational, Indian philosophical, feminist, biological and geological. In all these lectures the learner will learn the basic concepts from the respective disciplinary domains. This will also enable the learner to apply them to the practical contexts.
